Ingredients

For the Velvet Pumpkin Spice Creamer
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree Use canned or homemade pumpkin puree for the best flavor.
  • 2 cups heavy cream This adds richness and a velvety texture to your creamer.
  • 1 cup milk Whole milk works best, but you can use any milk of your choice.
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup For natural sweetness and a hint of maple flavor.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract Adds a warm, sweet aroma and flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice A blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger that embodies the essence of fall.
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt Balances the sweetness and enhances the flavors.

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Blender
  • Airtight container
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Step 1: In a medium saucepan, add 1 cup of pumpkin puree, 2 cups of heavy cream, 1 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of maple syrup, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  2. Step 2: Place the saucepan over medium heat. Whisk the mixture continuously to combine all the ingredients thoroughly. Heat for about 5-7 minutes, until the mixture is warmed through but not boiling.
  3. Step 3: Once heated, remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes.
  4. Step 4: Carefully transfer the mixture to a blender. Blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy.
  5. Step 5: Pour the blended creamer into an airtight container. Make sure to seal it well to maintain freshness. Refrigerate for up to one week.
  6. Step 6: Before using, give the container a good shake to mix any settled ingredients.

Notes

Make it vegan by substituting heavy cream with full-fat coconut milk and use plant-based milk. To prevent the creamer from separating, shake it well before use.
