  • 1 can (14 oz) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 can (13.5 oz) Coconut Milk
  • 1 can (15 oz) Cream of Coconut
  • 1 cup White Rum (optional) Adjust based on preference
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • to taste Cinnamon Sticks (for garnish) Optional for serving

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl or blender, combine the sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, cream of coconut, and white rum (if using).
  2. Add the vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt to the mixture.
  3. Blend or whisk the mixture until it is smooth and well combined.
  4. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness or spices as desired.
  5. Pour the coquito into bottles or jars, seal them tightly, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Before serving, shake the bottle well to mix any settled ingredients.
  7. Serve chilled in small glasses, garnished with a cinnamon stick if desired.

Notes

Coquito can be made without alcohol for a family-friendly version. Experiment with different spices to customize the flavor.
