  • 1 pound Spaghetti
  • 8 ounces Chorizo Casings removed
  • 1 pound Shrimp Peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 Bell pepper Red or yellow, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Grated
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper

  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
  • While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chorizo and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  • Add garlic and bell pepper to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until softened.
  • Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
  • Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Drain spaghetti and add it to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat.
  • Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. You can also substitute chicken or Italian sausage for the chorizo.
