  • 1 pound Spaghetti
  • 8 ounces Chorizo Casings removed
  • 1 pound Shrimp Peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 Bell pepper Red or yellow, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Grated
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
  2. While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chorizo and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  3. Add garlic and bell pepper to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until softened.
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Drain spaghetti and add it to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat.
  7. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. You can also substitute chicken or Italian sausage for the chorizo.
