  • 1 pound Shrimp Peeled and deveined, 16-20 count
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1/2 cup White wine Dry white wine, such as Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice Freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cup Parsley Chopped fresh
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper or to taste
  • 1 pound Linguine or spaghetti Cooked according to package directions

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  • Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and cooked through.
  • Pour in white wine and lemon juice; bring to a simmer and cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce slightly thickens.
  • Stir in chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
  • Add cooked linguine or spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat with the scampi sauce.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use a combination of butter and olive oil. You can also add other vegetables like spinach or cherry tomatoes to the scampi. Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control the level of spiciness.
