Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 ounce) Cream Cheese softened to room temperature
  • 1 jar (7 ounce) Marshmallow Fluff also known as Marshmallow Creme
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar optional, sifted, for extra sweetness/stiffness
  • 1-2 tablespoons Milk or Heavy Cream optional, to achieve desired consistency

Serving Suggestions (Dippers)

  • 1 platter Fresh Fruit strawberries, grapes, apple slices, pineapple chunks
  • 1 box Cookies vanilla wafers, graham crackers, or animal cookies

Instructions

Mixing the Dip

  • Prepare the Cream Cheese: Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened to room temperature. This step is crucial for achieving a smooth, lump-free dip. Place the softened cream cheese into a large mixing bowl.
  • Beat the Cream Cheese: Using an electric hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the cream cheese on medium speed until it is completely smooth and fluffy (about 1 to 2 minutes). Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  • Incorporate the Marshmallow Fluff: Add the entire jar of Marshmallow Fluff and the vanilla extract to the bowl.
  • Combine Ingredients: Continue mixing on medium speed until the marshmallow fluff and cream cheese are fully combined and the mixture is light, airy, and uniform in texture. This usually takes about 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Adjust Sweetness and Consistency (Optional Steps): If desired, add the sifted powdered sugar now for extra sweetness and mix until just combined. If the dip seems too thick, add milk or heavy cream (one tablespoon at a time) until the desired dipping consistency is reached.

Chilling and Serving

  • Chill the Dip: Transfer the finished dip into a serving bowl. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Chilling allows the flavors to meld and the dip to firm up slightly.
  • Serve: Serve the Marshmallow Cream Cheese Fruit Dip cold alongside your prepared fresh fruits, ensuring any sliced apples have been treated with lemon juice to prevent browning.

Notes

For a brighter flavor, consider adding 1/2 teaspoon of fresh orange or lemon zest during step 3. This dip can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
