Instructions

  • Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter, and butter.
  • Stir constantly until the butter is completely melted and the mixture is smooth and well combined. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar, stirring constantly until the mixture is thick, smooth, and pulls away from the sides of the pan. If using, stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly using a spatula.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm.
  • Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve. Enjoy!

Notes

For a richer chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet. Store leftover fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
