Ingredients

For the Peanut Butter Layer
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
For the Chocolate Topping
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

Equipment

  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula or wooden spoon
  • 8x8 inch baking dish
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Measuring cups
  • Sharp knife or pizza cutter
  • Plastic wrap or foil

Method

  1. Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of creamy peanut butter and 1/2 cup of softened unsalted butter. Using a spatula or wooden spoon, mix them together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Step 2: Gradually add 1 cup of powdered sugar and 1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs to the peanut butter and butter mixture. Stir until fully combined.
  3. Step 3: Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of an 8x8-inch baking dish. Make sure to pack it down firmly using your hands or a spatula.
  4. Step 4: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  5. Step 5: Carefully pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer in the baking dish and use a spatula to spread it evenly across the top.
  6. Step 6: Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap or foil and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until the bars are firm.
  7. Step 7: After the bars have set, remove them from the refrigerator and cut them into squares using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
