- Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: Wash and scrub the baby potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Place them in a large pot and cover them with water. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook the potatoes until they are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Step 3: Drain the potatoes using a colander and let them cool slightly.
- Step 4: Cut the potatoes in half.
- Step 5: In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Step 6: Pour the creamy mixture over the halved potatoes and toss gently to coat.
- Step 7: Add the shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped green onions to the potato mixture. Mix until evenly distributed.
- Step 8: Grease a baking dish and transfer the potato mixture into the dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Step 9: Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Step 10: Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
