  • 4 pieces Salmon fillets Skin-side down
  • 1 cup Kimchi, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons Honey or maple syrup
  • 2 pieces Green onions, sliced For garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds For garnish
  • Cooked rice For serving
  • Fresh cilantro For garnish (optional)

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped kimchi, gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  4. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down.
  5. Spoon the kimchi mixture evenly over each salmon fillet, ensuring they are well covered.
  6. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
  7. While the salmon is baking, prepare the cooked rice according to package instructions.
  8. Once the salmon is done, remove it from the oven. Sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish.
  9. Serve the kimchi baked salmon hot over a bed of cooked rice. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.

Notes
