  • 1 cup (2 sticks) Unsalted Butter
  • 12 ounces Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 14 ounces Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 cup Mini Marshmallows (optional)

  • Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir frequently to prevent burning.
  • Add chocolate chips to the melted butter and stir until completely smooth and melted.
  • Remove from heat and stir in sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Sprinkle with mini marshmallows (optional).
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  • Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips. You can also add other toppings such as chopped nuts, chocolate shavings, or sea salt.
