Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt (ing_1, ing_2, ing_3).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter (ing_4), granulated sugar (ing_5), and brown sugar (ing_6) until light and fluffy using a stand mixer or hand mixer.
- Beat in the eggs (ing_7) one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract (ing_8).
- Gradually add the dry ingredients (ing_1, ing_2, ing_3) to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips (ing_9).
- Drop by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra chewy cookies, use more brown sugar.
