Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1.5 cups Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Brown sugar, packed
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt (ing_1, ing_2, ing_3).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter (ing_4), granulated sugar (ing_5), and brown sugar (ing_6) until light and fluffy using a stand mixer or hand mixer.
  • Beat in the eggs (ing_7) one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract (ing_8).
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients (ing_1, ing_2, ing_3) to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips (ing_9).
  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra chewy cookies, use more brown sugar.
Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking for a thicker cookie.
Don't overbake!
