- Drain the green beans and set aside.
- In your slow cooker, combine the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce (if using), and garlic powder (if using).
- Stir until everything is well combined.
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours, or until heated through and bubbly.
- Stir in 1 cup of the French fried onions.
- Continue to cook on low for 30 minutes, or until the onions are slightly softened.
- Before serving, top with the remaining 1/2 cup of French fried onions. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use homemade cream of mushroom soup. You can also add other vegetables like mushrooms or diced potatoes. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
