  • 1 14.5 ounce can Green Beans drained
  • 1 10.75 ounce can Cream of Mushroom Soup condensed
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1.5 cups French Fried Onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce optional, adds depth of flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder optional, enhances savory notes

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Drain the green beans and set aside.
  2. In your slow cooker, combine the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce (if using), and garlic powder (if using).
  3. Stir until everything is well combined.
  4. Cook on low for 4-6 hours, or on high for 2-3 hours, or until heated through and bubbly.
  5. Stir in 1 cup of the French fried onions.
  6. Continue to cook on low for 30 minutes, or until the onions are slightly softened.
  7. Before serving, top with the remaining 1/2 cup of French fried onions. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use homemade cream of mushroom soup. You can also add other vegetables like mushrooms or diced potatoes. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
