- Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cooked sausage, and shredded cheese.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and paprika before serving.
- Serve warm with your favorite crackers, tortilla chips, or vegetables.
Notes
For a spicier dip, use hot Italian sausage. You can also add other seasonings to taste, such as onion powder or chili powder. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
