When you make Salisbury Steak is needs to be stored in the refrigerator. Store it in an airtight container and it should stay good for up to 5 days. This Salisbury Steak will taste just as good as leftovers as it does the first night you make it. Since Salisbury steak goes fantastic with mashed potatoes, you can certainly serve these sandwiches with your favorite mashed potato recipe. Twice baked potatoes, Mini Parmesan Baked Potatoes are also delicious or you can make a side of French fries. This sandwich can be served with a side salad or with roasted vegetables as well.
What If My Mushroom Gravy Isn’t Thick
The mushroom gravy will thicken as it cools. If you the gravy isn’t as thick as you would like it, make a slurry with cornstarch. Once it is mixed together well, you can add it to the gravy and the gravy will thicken as you heat it.
What if I Do Not Like Mushrooms
If you love the idea of gravy but are not a fan of mushrooms, you can easily omit them. The gravy is still made the same way, except skip the steps of adding the mushrooms. The gravy will have a slightly different flavor but it will taste amazing. Another option, if you want the full flavor but do not like the large pieces of mushrooms, you can dice them into small pieces. By doing this you sill have the flavor without the large pieces of mushrooms.
