If you are looking for the perfect creamy salsa, that is quick and easy, and can be used as a dip or as a topping for grilled meats and chicken, you are going to absolutely love this Creamy Jalapeno Cilantro Salsa. It has just the right amount of heat, with lots of flavor, and is absolutely delicious.
Creamy Jalapeno Cilantro Salsa
When it comes to adding heat while adding flavor, it doesn’t get better than this. Use this creamy salsa as a dipping sauce for things like onion rings, mozzarella sticks or for veggies. Another option is to use it with your favorite tortilla chips or mix it together with cheese to make a version of queso. You can use it to top your chicken, beef or pork. This adds another layer of flavor to the meal and can elevate it to a whole new level.
Can I Control the Heat in Jalapeno Cilantro Salsa Dip
Jalapenos are known for being spicy without being too hot to handle. You can leave the ribs in the peppers if you want to have a bit more heat or make sure to remove all of the seeds and ribs in order to keep the heat to a minimum. If you want something that is truly hotter than the jalapenos you can add a hotter, spicier, pepper in order to make it even spicier. I like to use the jalapenos because they add just the right amount of heat to this salsa. I like spicy, but not too spicy, without adding so much heat that nothing else can be tasted.
How to Store Creamy Jalapeno Dip
Once you have made this batch of creamy jalapeno dip, you want to make sure it is stored in an airtight container. You also want to keep it in the refrigerator. This will keep the sauce fresh and tasting great for about a week. You can also store this in the freezer if you want to keep it on hand.
How Long Will This Sauce Last
This sauce will last about a week when stored properly in the refrigerator. You can also make the sauce last longer by freezing it. You can freeze it as one batch or you can pour the sauce into ice cube trays. This lets you take a small portion out at a time. Also, this is perfect for cooking and adding to recipes to enhance the flavor even more.
What Makes This Sauce Creamy
The ingredients in this jalapeno salsa sauce are truly simple. It is a whole foods recipe that is extremely easy to make. The base of the sauce is pureed jalapenos and water. Once the rest of the ingredients are added, you will mix together the sauce and sour cream. The sour cream makes the sauce even more creamier and it will also cut through the spiciness. This is great because it lets the flavor of the salsa shine without having too much heat. A delicious Tex Mex, restaurant style, copycat recipe that everyone will enjoy. We LOVE this sauce and hope you enjoy it as well!
