- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup instant banana pudding mix
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (for drizzle)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Stir in the mashed bananas until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, instant banana pudding mix, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- If using, gently fold in the chopped walnuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then drizzle with caramel sauce.
- Cut into squares and serve warm or at room temperature.
